Thank you so much for a wonderful event!
My wife commented several times that she noticed Darbie was there to make the event go so smoothly. She was so impressed.
Thank you and all your staff. Everyone had a good time!

We blindly booked the Engineer’s Club for our wedding reception, and it could not have been better! Planning a wedding from across the country can be stressful, but their event coordinator, Darbie, was always available to answer our questions, and was even able to provide recommendations for DJ’s, food, and other little treats. She made sure everything ran smoothly, and we did not have to worry about one thing.
The Engineer’s Club staff did an amazing job putting together the decorations, getting things set up with our DJ, and keeping things organized. We even had our dinner plates served first so we could eat before socializing. The food was delicious, and it was easy to coordinate multiple plates for guests with dietary restrictions. Did I mention we didn’t have to worry about one thing? We loved having the whole building for our reception – there was a spot for everyone (some of our older relatives preferred to stay tucked away in a quiet corner instead of joining the dance party). What initially drew us to the Engineer’s Club was the intricate detail and woodwork of the historic building. What a beautiful venue for such a special day!
We are both very grateful to the staff at the Engineer’s Club for making our wedding reception such a special and stress-free day. It was perfect!

The Engineers Club of Dayton stands as a symbol of innovation and excellence in our region, embodying the very spirit of engineering ingenuity that has shaped our world. As a hub for brilliant minds and groundbreaking ideas, the club’s contributions have not only impacted Dayton but have reverberated throughout the entire United States.
Having had the privilege to host numerous professional events at the Engineers Club, I can attest firsthand to the exceptional experience it offers. Our company really enjoyed having our Christmas party at the Engineers Club. The historical venue is such a gem!
It was wonderful working with Darbie to plan everything. She promptly answered all my questions that popped up along the way throughout the planning.
Cheyenne, and the rest of the staff, were exceptional tending to our needs during the party. And one gentleman just jumped right in a started helping us unload our cars. It was so nice. Plus, the food is great!

Our engineering team really enjoyed or time together at the Engineers Club of Dayton. The staff was professional, food was great, and the 2nd floor library was a great atmosphere for our event.
Additionally, the club is a museum of engineering treasures to explore. Thank you- we look forward to our next event with you.

Joining the Engineers Club of Dayton (ECD) has been a great decision for me – not only for my family, but also in my professional life as a member of the Society of Experimental Test Pilots (SETP), Great Lakes Section.
The Engineers Club of Dayton is the SETP Great Lakes Section’s first choice of venue for dinners and symposia. We have been hosting professional and social events there since 2014. Not only has the Club consistently provided excellent food and service, they have done so in an awe-inspiring historic setting that embodies creativity and innovation. When setting up any event, the Executive Director and her staff are easy to work with, offer a wide variety of options, and pay attention to the details.
The SETP members and guests are always wowed by the Engineers Club’s impressive collection of science and engineering artifacts that demonstrate Dayton’s history of leading technical innovation. They are equally impressed by the groundbreaking accomplishments of the pathfinders enshrined in the Engineering and Science Hall of Fame. The Engineers Club has earned its place on the National Register of Historic Places as a priceless historic gem of the Gem City!
My family and I have enjoyed numerous ECD events – everything from simple lunches with co-workers, to Easter and Mothers’ Day brunches, Independence Day celebrations, New Year’s Eve dinners, and other special events including the 2018 100th Anniversary of the Engineers Club’s building. We’ve also attended several informative, curated wine tasting dinners with excellent food pairings. Tuesday’s Barn Gang lunches offer engaging presentations on a wide variety of history, biography, business-oriented and current events as well as technical topics. There are also Thursday afternoon happy hours. It’s a great place to enjoy the relaxed but elegant atmosphere, and associate with local leaders and professionals in science, engineering, industry, academia, health care, and government. My family and I feel that belonging to the Engineers Club of Dayton is being a part of history, not just Dayton’s history, but the innovative history that Daytonians have gifted to the world, plus it has the added benefit of enjoying excellent, fine dining and events.

When we arrived onsite early in the morning we were greeted with warm regards. We were shown to our room and all the accommodations that we requested were made. The breakfast we requested was laid out and warm. The food was delicious, and it is highly recommended. We had a server with our group all day and he ensured that we were taken care of. The conference space was well maintained and had space for all our attendees. Lunch was delicious and filling. Overall, we will be looking to the Engineers Club of Dayton the next time we host an offsite.

Choosing to reserve special spaces like The English Room, the Library and the Meeting Room for recent corporate events was a great decision. Working with the Executive Director, Darbie, deserves 5 stars as it was pleasant, thorough and efficient. I did not have to worry about “loose ends” as all my detailed questions were answered in a timely fashion. The catered menu selected was delicious and a variety of items were tasted during our time there: beef, salmon, chicken, sandwiches, vegetables, soup, the bar, and dessert! The bartender was very professional, and it was evident he was experienced in the hospitality industry. I encourage others to join in to celebrate this historical space if living or working in Dayton; it is a showcase space downtown. While there, guests can view rare artifacts in the Engineers Club that will keep conversations going during one’s visit. The Engineers Club is a treasure to downtown Dayton, and I look forward to working with Darbie and staff again in the future.

It has been a great benefit to myself and several of the companies I have worked with over the years to be members of Dayton Engineers Club. Darbie, Andrea, Chloe and the entire staff have been amazing, as they supported many events here at the Dayton Engineers club. I have also enjoyed the reciprocal club use and benefits around the country. The Dayton Engineers Club is a gem and I highly recommend reaching out to Darbie and her team and consider joining this unique and historic club today!

I work for a large Retirement Community in Kettering, Ohio. I became a member of the Engineer’s Club in the summer of 2023. The first time I took a group of my Residents to The EC for lunch it was a huge success! From the food to the customer service to the atmosphere! We normally go to lunch once a week and go to a place for lunch about twice a year rotating restaurants. We have been to the Engineer’s Club 4 times in the past 8 months. The Residents request to go there and we honor their request, happily. It is a beautiful place with a wonderful history, great food, and great people!

I wanted to drop you a note to compliment you and your staff on how everyone involved made our 2023 Christmas Party a success. The food we were served was delicious and the staff was very attentive without being intrusive. They kept on top of our event as it moved forward and seemed to always be when and where we needed them. We will be booking our 2024 Christmas Party with you again. In addition to our Christmas Party, we also had a very successful Board meeting at the Club in late November. Again, you and your staff came through for us. We scheduled the meeting over the noon hour, so we were able to order from the menu and have lunch served without delay. You and your team enabled us to have a successful meeting in a timely manner. We were so pleased that we scheduled our January meeting at the Club on the 31st. The Engineers Club of Dayton is a hidden gem in downtown Dayton for business meetings and other functions. It is conveniently located with great service.

Our company IPT held our annual holiday party at the Engineer’s Club for the first time in December of 2023. In addition to our 40 local employees, we had 20 out of town guests from California, including our company president. It was unanimous that it was our best party in many years. Because we are an aerospace company, the setting and the history of the club was remarkable and awe- inspiring to all who attended. The space was beautiful, and the staff went above and beyond to serve our every need. The food was delicious, and the staff set-up and their complete attention kept the flow going throughout the evening. We were sorry the night had to end. I would highly recommend the Engineer’s Club for any company event.

I have enjoyed working with Darbie and her staff at the Engineers Club of Dayton. As the President of the Dayton Area Society of Ophthalmology we started having our meetings at the Engineers Club in 2020 and have continued our events there ever since. Darbie and her staff are always easy to work with and we have enjoyed the facilities at the Engineering Club very much. Our meeting room is spacious and quiet for our educational meetings, and the food is always delicious. If you have ever tried having a meeting at a restaurant, you know that it can be very noisy, disruptive, and expensive. I think the facilities at the Engineers Club are wonderful and excellent for any meetings your group may wish to have.

I attended a party there on Friday night, 12/15, the Conrad-Huntley rehearsal dinner party. One of the offerings at dinner was the most succulent, delicious, melt in your mouth beef I have ever eaten! I would love to know what cut of beef it was and how it was prepared. I live in CT and am back home after attending a Dayton wedding, and I will be dreaming of that beef for weeks!

PNC has hosted many luncheons for our clients at the Engineers Club. These luncheons are very prescriptive and the team at the Engineers Club executed flawlessly.
The room set up was perfect, and very well done. The food was excellent and plated beautifully. What I appreciate more than anything is that the team was ready for us when we arrived to put our last-minute touches on the room. Salads were on the table, water was poured, and everything was set up and ready to go. The rooms that we have utilized ranged from the larger room upstairs to the smaller room just off the entrance. Again, everything was perfect in each space. The cost is extremely reasonable, as well.
Another special touch that we like to add is having a historian from the Club attend our event and talk about the history of the Engineers Club, as well as the history of the building and its importance to the history of Dayton. There are so many people that have not been in this space, and we are incredibly happy to showcase this fantastic Dayton asset for our clients and friends.
